The experiences of people in the LGBTQIA+ community and the struggle for social and legal acceptance
Linda Sólveigar- og Guðmundsdóttir – postdoctoral researcher affiliated with RIKK, the Institute for Gender, Equality, and Difference in Iceland.
I am looking for participants in a qualitative study based on interviews with people in the queer community in Amsterdam or in the Netherlands more generally.
The research explores the experiences of people in the LGBTQIA+ community and the struggle for social and legal acceptance, as well as the notion of a “queer utopia.”
What I am asking potential participants to do is take part in a short informal interview (approximately an hour), where I can come to their house or we can meet in a space where they feel comfortable (preferably in a quiet space for recording purposes).
What you share with me will be anonymous, and you can withdraw your participation at any time without any consequences.
I would appreciate a wide range of experiences from people from different cultural and class backgrounds and different generations, if at all possible.
