This year, Laura Baams will become the new coordinator of the Flemish/Dutch LGBTI Research Network.
The network consists of researchers, students and professionals with a shared interest in LGBTI-related topics. In 2012, Jantine van Lisdonk established the network, to exchange LGBTI research-related updates and calls. Highlights were the 2016 and 2018 conferences, that she successfully organized with Myrte Dierckx.
Laura Baams works as an assistant professor at the Pedagogy and Educational Sciences Department at the University of Groningen. Overall, her research addresses health disparities among LGBTQ youth, and how these can be exacerbated or diminished by social environmental factors.
